This Friday 22nd April I will be part of a one-night-only exhibition called 'Feel Good', with all proceeds going towards the Japan Relief & Recovery effort (link). This exciting fundraising event centres around a mix of painting, photography and live music, running from 7:30pm until 12:45am in the Champions Hall of the Old Course hotel in St Andrews.
The evening begins with live jazz music and an exhibition of artwork including 25 of my prints alongside works from another artist and photographer. There will be a charity auction of the prints early on in the evening to help raise funds for Japan following the recent catastrophic earthquake and tsunami. If you are in attendance I warmly encourage you to give as generously as you can as the cause couldn't be worthier right now.
As the evening progresses the event will begin to find its Friday night dancing feet, with a selection of live music culminating in an epic throwdown of some of St Andrews' finest DJ's! For more information on this great event check out the Facebook group where you can also get in touch with an event organiser should you be interested in tickets: 'Feel Good' Facebook page. Tickets on sale now, priced £14.
It may be slightly short notice but if you happen to be in the area I highly encourage you drop by with your friends for what promises to be a night to remember. It's time to Feel Good!
* Update - I'm pleased to announce the event was a great success and the auctioned images were able to raise over £500 towards the Japan Relief and Recovery effort. You can see a short video of the event below.
